Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce Committees and Board Functions

Ambassadors Committee: Welcomes members at Chamber functions and facilitate networking among members.

Business Support Committee: Reviews current issues facing the business community and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Business Support Committee Minutes are available online.

Education Committee: Sponsors the ACE awards for students with leadership qualities. Awards a $1000 scholarship annually to a high school student. Surveys hundreds of area business in search of apprentice and intern opportunities for area youngsters.

Board of Directors: Advises, recommends and makes decisions on issues facing the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce.

Retail Group: This new initiative of the Chamber is directed at our Retail members. The purpose of this group is to convene meetings of specific interest to retailers dealing with such subjects as advertising, display, promotion, cross-promotion within the area and many others.

Non Profit Group: This group provides a forum in which non-profit organizations can meet and exchange ideas and know-how specific to non profit enteritis. Whether it is State or Federal compliance, or new and productive fund raising, the issues that affect one non profit are usually the same for others.
